A new month in the new year. This year did not begin well, wife had a fall on the 31st of December and broke her wrist. It is still not completely well even though the cast is out. Now she needs physiotherapy. Child visited end of the year during the Christmas vacation and we did go out to couple of places to have some "alleged" fun. Primal Kitchen and La Fresca were the two restaurants in Halifax that we visited.
Primal Kitchen was dismal and should be called dismal kitchen. They offer charcuterie boards as and USP of the restaurant. We placed order for not one but three boards, two meat and one cheese. Nothing, zilch, nada. Next thing we know is we have our entrees and after that we are sold a dessert too by the waitress. All the time I was expecting a sorry an apology for forgetting the starters. Nothing, not even when she rang up our bill. It was as if she did not even take it down. Fresca was usual nothing new, pretty standard tame fare but it happens to be one of the good places in Halifax.
Over the holidays we did try Absinthe with alleged wormwood in it. Distinctly anise-flavored, this liquor is good for those unknown about Indian badishep. I am sure the artistes and the bohemian crowd liked it because it must have kept their teeth clean with Anise/badishep component. Those days people did not have time to brush teeth and also indulge in art.
In the office it is still stagnancy but we did get a new new VP this month.
